The Monticello Utility Commission is a municipal utility that provides water to 95% of the citizens of Wayne County. We also provide sewer, and garbage services to residents of the City of Monticello. The office is located at 1040 N. Main Street, Monticello, Kentucky.

The City of Monticello is located in scenic southcentral Kentucky. The City of Monticello sits next to Lake Cumberland, and much of our economy is built on servicing the recreational and

Consumer Confidence Report

Each year, as our customers, you will receive a Consumer Confidence Report (CCR) 2011
 (page 1) (page 2). This report delivers specified information to you about the quality of the water you drink. At a minimum the CCR provides information on:

-The source of your drinking water.

- A brief summary of the susceptibility to contamination of the local drinking water.

-Our compliance with drinking water related rules.

-Our contact information and phone numbers of additional sources of information.

As your source for drinking water, we want to keep you informed and educated about your system. We want you to keep us informed with your suggestions and concerns about your system. A well informed customer is our greatest asset. We value the citizens of Wayne County greatly and will appreciate your feedback. By providing us with your feedback, we can better suit your needs. The Monticello Utility Commission meets the first Thursday after the first Monday of each month. The systems manager is Mr. Gene T. Jones. The Commission consists of five members appointed by the Mayor. The current Commissioners are Chairman Ray Chesney, Secretary Treasurer Stewart York, Juanita Allen, James Peters, and Alvin Sexton.
